First Stop

After a horrifically terrific pack up and clean out with the amazing help of Matt's parents and some very appreciated help from members of the ward, (and some not so appreciated lack of help from the broke down air conditioning unit--talk about bad timing) we headed to the welcoming big skies and not so welcoming stinking cow poop of Clovis, New Mexico to see the house we were about to purchase.  It all worked out and the next stop was Arches, oh how I love you.

And oh how we love the  Reese family too!!!

Matt Graduated...Again!

Matt and his co-residence and office mates all so relieved that the big day finally arrived!

We are finally done with the residency, phew...
It was exhausting, not just for Peter.
It was a special occasion, despite our a.c. not working and the stress of a move upon us.
 Say Ah!

The girls were stoked about the lipstick and fake nails they got to wear, but the flowers that they got from their Daddy was the icing on the cake.
(Oh, and that is Baby Tooth on their shirts, from Rise of the Guardians.)

Way to go Matt and everyone else!
We will miss our neighbors and friends from San Antonio.

Stay tuned for more posts of our summer vacation and our life now in the great wide nothingness, oops I mean openness, of Clovis, NM.

News

These things happened last month but are still worth posting!  Carlee lost her first tooth!  It was pretty exciting for her...and Danilyn.  Matt tied dental floss to her loose tooth, then attached it to the scooter and off Dani rode...and out came the tooth!  I will post the video on Facebook.  The Tooth Fairy gave her a whole dollar and she used the money to buy a cinnamon roll breakfast at school!
She went to school and bragged to all of her friends about her tooth and shortly after she finished Pre-K with Mrs. Mooney and Ms. Owens.  She misses them and her classmates.  She learned a lot and really enjoyed her first year of school.

Peter started walking!  He wouldn't go from sitting to standing by himself for a few days after he started walking, but then all of the sudden he figured that out too.  Crawling is no more!  I will post a video on Facebook as well.

He got sick and was coughing and then started wheezing and not being able to breath well at all.  It was scary.  I took him to an emergency care and he had to get breathing treatments with a neutralizer, "Sammy the Seal."  He recovered quickly.  What a blessing it is to have children that are healthy!
He loves these florescent striped socks.

In other news: Peter threw my phone in the toilet so I finally got an iphone!  It is awesome, I love it.  Thanks Pete! Angela and Kevin and their five cuties came to visit us last week and we had fun at the neighborhood pool, Enchanted Rock, Big Lou's Pizza and Sea World.  We are finally in the final week of Matt's residency!!!  We can't wait.  He graduates on Thursday.  What a journey this has been.  He has worked so hard and learned so much.  We finally decided to have the Military pack us and move us instead of trying to do it ourselves again, what a load off.  We will be in Clovis, NM by the 3rd closing on our house, how exciting!  We have fun plans after that to see all of our family and do fun things before we get settled in our new lives.  I think the next few years are going to be a bit easier than the past two years in San Antonio.  I'm ready.  Happy summer plans to everyone!

Peter's 1st Birthday

The girls couldn't wait for him to open his presents so we did that first!

The Cozy Coupe is a hit.

The girls and I fun making the tie dyed/rainbow cake on Saturday...
and Peter LOVED eating it on Sunday!

Thanks Grandma for the cute new hat you made, and the cars,
 and card,
 and amazing quilt!

 Peter is such a joy!

Easter 2014

We went to Mustang Island on Friday to camp on the beach.  It was so much fun.  The weather was amazing.  The moon was so majestic and it was so fun to sit in the sand by the campfire and hear the sounds of the ocean, the crickets, the crackling fire...just awesome.
(And I might add romantic after we got the kids into their sleeping bags, hehe.)

Peter got up early so I took him out of the tent and we watched the sun rise.

Can you see the colorful eggs out there?
When the girls got up and found their baskets in the tent, they came out and searched for their eggs in the sand.  Unfortunately some of the candy inside got a little wet and sandy too and at least one egg fell into a hole dug by a creature in the night.  Things to remember for future reference!  We got a cute video of the hunt.

Then we spent the day playing in the sand, relaxing in the tent, and swimming and wake boarding in the ocean.

There was a butt load of sea weed on the shore!

Some of our friends, the Hansens, met up with us at the beach and that made it even more fun!

It was really pretty much perfect.
We spent Easter Sunday at church and then eating a nice meal and talking and thinking about the Resurrection of Jesus.
