What Does a Red Neck Look Like in NY?

I have decided that I would make a really good Red neck and to prove it have grown one bad mustache. Actually at school we are having a "Mustache March" mustache growing competition. I happen to believe that I look really good. I usually look pretty tough but now I am at least 55% tougher, facial hair works miracles. Julee on the other hand thinks that I have hit rock bottom as far as looks go and am, "extremely unattractive". I would have thought Julee, being from Price, Utah of all places, would of found it quite attractive.

This other picture is from a few years ago when I was living in the south (North Carolina). The atmosphere got the best of me and the beast escaped.

The Best St. Patrick's Day EVER!

Well I guess it wasn't that great, it is just that I have never celebrated St. Patrick's Day and so anything would make it the best. I didn't even do anything really... I just saw these guys on the side walk and thought I would be fun to catch it on video. It was the fist St. Patrick's day parade I have ever been to... I like where they finished it.

I also took a big midterm this morning. It is nice to have that over with.
I can't seem to figure out how to get Quick time videos to work on Blogger. any hints?

Things I should have written about but...

A little while back I started thinking to myself how boring it was here. I go to school and sleep, and then on Sundays we go wild and go to church. Then I realized that the boring thing wasn't the place I was living but me. Since then Julee and I have done a lot of cool things that I was too busy to write about, so here are some pictures:

We took a walk acrossed the Brooklyn bridge and got some cool shots. We also stopped at Jacque Torres's chocolate shop (it is supposed to be famous)and saw the JW Watch tower.

Van Gogh's Starry night was awesome to see! I really like that painting.

The MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) is free on Fridays and was way fun. I think that I could have painted some of the paintings, all red is easy.

We thought this one was cool/funny.

For the last picture for this post we went to a Knicks game for $16 each! That was fun despite the fact that they lost. I don't think that I will become a Knicks fan.

My Turn

Matt wrote about some fun things we did and now I am going to write about a few more. Ever since I saw the tram that goes to Roosevelt Island I have wanted to take a ride on it. So, One Sunday we did just that, up and over. Once we were across the East river, we caught a bus and rode around the Island. It is just across the river from our apartment so I see it just about every day when I run on the pathway. There is a light house there. It was interesting to be on the other side of the river and see our neighborhood so close and yet so far away: It took us an hour and half to get home when we were less than a quarter of a mile away...
I kept thinking there should be a foot bridge but so many tugboats pass through there, hence the tram. The ride back in the sky was cool because it was dark.
In fact, I thought the ride was so cool that I took my sister Cyrie to experience it when she came to the city for my birthday a week later!
While Cyrie was here we went to our first Broadway show-Legally Blond. I got to choose the show because it was my birthday (25th). I think Matt was thinking: "oh great, I get to spend all this money to see Legally Blond...?" But we ALL enjoyed the show very much. We were totally impressed and can't wait to go see another one. It was so much fun to have Cyrie her for 4 days, thanks Cyrie!!! Her and I also got to see the off Broadway production of Stomp (which was very entertaining), go to the top of the Rockefeller Center 69 floors up with a panoramic view, and shop...all while Matt studied and studied some more. Hard Core or Board to Death?
Rummikub

We like to play games with our friends from the ward we attend. Last time we played everyone had fun but me because I could not lay down the entire game. I have never experienced that in Rummikub before. I literally could not lay down and I have a picture to prove it!

We are working at trying not to be boring.
